One aspect of a fermentation development program is scale up: the ability to transfer procedures developed in the laboratory to protocols used in the plant. This can often involve increases in volume of one thousand fold or more. This requires knowledge of plant operations; the differences between large and small scale equipment; as well as "non-scientific issues" such as utility costs, availability of materials and supplies, and labor practices.
Dyadic engineers and scientists have many years of experience - both in and out of the plant - supporting the seamless transition of numerous fermentation processes from the laboratory to the industrial fermentation plant.
