Biotechnology Company Dyadic International, Inc., to Move Its Corporate HQ and R&D Lab to Abacoa in Jupiter, Florida

Jupiter, FL

July 21, 2004

Dyadic International, Inc., a leading biotechnology company focused on manufacturing proteins and other biological products for industrial, commercial and human medical applications (therapeutic drugs, animal feed additives, replacements for harsh chemicals and petroleum based products), announced today plans to relocate its corporate headquarters and its biotechnology research and development laboratory (R&D) to Abacoa in Jupiter, Florida.

"Dyadic is very excited to take this step in the company’s development and is thankful to the town of Jupiter, The Rendina Companies, and all Dyadic advisors who have helped in the site selection process," said Mark Emalfarb, the company’s Chief Executive Officer. "After a careful selection of a wide variety of locations, including those outside the State of Florida, Dyadic has chosen to remain and expand in Palm Beach County in large part due to Governor Bush’s successful initiative, supported by the County and the taxpayers, to attract The Scripps Research Institute (Scripps) to locate here."

"We chose the specific site at Abacoa in Jupiter because of the unique advantages provided by this location," added Mark Emalfarb. "These include its convenient in-town setting, where our employees can walk to restaurants for lunch, its close proximity to a wide variety of A-rated schools and safe residential neighborhoods in Jupiter and Palm Beach Gardens for our employees and their families. Last but not least is the close proximity to the temporary Scripps R&D facility at the Florida Atlantic University, which is located in Abacoa. We feel that this is the ideal place for us to relocate and consolidate our US operations."

Abacoa is a 2,055-acre master planned community conveniently located in Northern Palm Beach County with immediate access to I-95 and the Florida Turnpike, 15 miles from Palm Beach International Airport and only 3.5 miles from the ocean. Abacoa incorporates more than a dozen neighborhoods, two college campuses, two public schools, a stadium, a public golf course, a Main Street-style town center, a recreational park, a 16-screen movie theater and a shopping plaza. Abacoa has approximately 3 million square feet of commercial property for research & development, medical office and other professional office use.

"Abacoa was specifically designed for companies like Dyadic due to its many unique advantages which made a difference in Dyadic’s selection process," commented Bruce Rendina, Chairman and CEO of Rendina Companies, the nation’s leading healthcare real estate development firm. Rendina Companies along with De Guardiola Development designed and developed Abacoa. "Dyadic and the temporary Scripps R&D facility are catalysts for attracting many other biotechnology companies which we expect will follow suit and chose to locate here."

"To accommodate the company’s rapid growth, Dyadic is planning to build a new state of the art 40,000 sq. ft. facility to house its corporate and R&D staff to help accelerate the growth of the company’s industrial biotechnology and biosciences businesses," added Mark Emalfarb.
