 Mid Level Sales Position (Far East)

Seeking a self-motivated individual to be involved with day-to-day sales operations in the Far East. Position will preferably be located in Hong Kong and reports to the head of sales and marketing.
Duties include the following:
- Sales calls to existing and new customers.
- Identify new customers and leads.
- Identifying specific customer needs, such as product packaging requirements, new enzyme opportunities, possible customer collaborations, new business opportunities and ideas for new product development.
- Assisting customers with technical enzyme applications support incl. plant trials.
- Coordinating completion of customer profiles, credit applications and logistics and credit collections.
- Providing accurate sales forecasts to assist in inventory and planning purposes. Analyzing current products, potential new opportunities, and competitive landscapes.
- Supporting development of strategic business plans.
- Coordinating customer support issues.
- Generating written reports as required.
- 70% travel is required incl. India/Pakistan and Australia/New Zealand.
- Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Minimum of five (5) years of inside and outside international sales experience with industrial enzyme sales and customer technical service.
- Must be experienced in at least two (2) of the following fields: animal feed, food, brewing, pulp & paper, starch and alcohol, textiles, juicing and wastewater treatment.
- B.S. (or equivalent) in either enzymology, biochemistry, chemistry, chemical engineering, food science or related field.
- Ability to independently generate sales, work on customer needs and identify new market opportunities.
- Must have excellent communications, time-management, flexibility and problem solving skills, and must be persistent.
- Proficient with Microsoft suite of applications.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
